What is a PML (Production Music Library) ?
A PML is a catalogue of musical pieces intended to be matched with such content as film, tv, corporate, radiophonic or more widely to anything that is audiovisual and mediatic.

What is Sync Licensing? What can I use it for?

A Synchronization license is a document that grants the possibility for a specific musical piece to be synced with multimedial products (film, tv show, advertisement, videogame, movie trailers, etc.). LYRA sells different types of licenses according to the kind of project the music will be matched with.

What is the price for a syncronization license?

The cost of each license is not fixed but it depends on the use you make of it. Relevant factors may be the chosen repertoire and the specific project it is intended for. Please consult our standard Rate card (prices are not fixed yet indicative)

How long is my license valid? In which countries is it effective?

All licenses have no expiration date and are valid worldwide.

How many projects can I use my license for?

Each license is generated for a specific client (a private person or a company) and it is usable for a single artistic project. If the case is a serial project (tv show, webseries, podcast etc) you can contact us at info@lyramusicfortales.com to obtain a dedicated quote.

What is the difference between an in-context andan out-of-context license?

An in-context license allows a limited use for the specific audiovisual work and excludes use for other products related to the same project. For instance, a sync license used in a film cannot be used for the trailer clip of the same film. An out-of-context license can be used for all the separate audiovisual contents within the same project (film, trailer, web clips etc).

Are the songs in the catalogue royalty-free?
No, all songs in the LYRA catalogue are covered by copyrights and registered with their Collective Society service. When released, the license document will display all the necessary data for the filling of the Cue Sheet.

Can I share my license with a friend, colleague or affiliated company?
No, each license is granted to a single person or single company and it's valid for a single project.

What is the audio format of the download?
All music is 24bit and 48kHz. The demo version is a compressed mp3 file and it contains an audio watermark for the control and identification of unauthorized tracks. Once purchased the license, one will be able to download an high quality WAV file for the end use of the track.
